Wolviston’s WI Hall is located on West Hartlepool Rd, next to the Community Center.
The WIs offer craft classes, flower class, workshops, and cookery classes, games and book clubs. How about keep-fit or darts? There is even the chance to put on a show. We’re not just jam and Jerusalem though; try gin tasting or cocktail making. With a big age range of ladies we offer a varied programme.
The WI is also well known for coffee mornings as part of their own fundraising efforts.
Being a user of a village hall also means fundraising and the WI is keen to do their bit when called upon. They’ll be there at the Christmas or Summer Fares with their home baking and craft stalls.
Some WI members are on the village hall committee too and they help with the daily running, organising, booking and fundraising activities.
The WI also are able to hire their hall. There is a single large room with a stage which seats 60 people, kitchen facilities and a small meeting room. Dedicated car park for 4 cars but there is ample street parking in the immediate vicinity. We also have disabled toilet facilities. Hire rates are £10 per hour or individual rates can be negotiated for day/part of day hire.
